Who We Are — The Heart Behind the Legacy

Born from faith, fueled by purpose, and built on 25 years of experience in empowering people and communities.

Our Story — From Vision to Impact

The moment of calling — how faith and experience converged to form the vision for LBIF. The recognition that families don't just need services; they need someone who believes in their potential.

Why Grand Prairie and Arlington — the specific community needs, the demographics, the opportunity to serve a vibrant but underserved region of the DFW Metroplex.

The founding of LBIF — bringing together education, family services, and community building under one faith-driven umbrella. The launch of LBCA as the cornerstone program.

Mission & Vision

Legacy Builders Impact Foundation strengthens families, empowers youth, and transforms communities through faith-guided education, wraparound social services, and leadership development — planting seeds of generational impact across the Grand Prairie/Arlington region and beyond.

Katrina Tolbert

Secretary

I am a native of Texas with over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. I have used my BBA in Management Information Systems and my Master's in Theology to help children achieve at Knowledge Tree Prep Academy and at many other learning institutions. I have directed and managed both franchised schools and multi-center locations.

My love for God has been intertwined with my love of educating children. It has not only impacted the lives of those I have had the opportunity to teach but also the lives of other leaders I have met on this journey to expand knowledge. My passion is to help lay the foundations children need to achieve in whatever career they choose and wherever life takes them.

Rooted in Faith, Open to All

LBIF is guided by Christian faith — it is the root system that sustains everything we do. Our faith inspires us to serve with love, lead with integrity, and believe in the potential of every person who walks through our doors.

And our doors are wide open. You do not need to share our faith to benefit from our programs, partner with our mission, or feel at home in our community. We welcome every family, every background, every story. That's not a policy — it's who we are.

“Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
